En 2017, l’artiste Thomas Huber est invité au Frac en tant que commissaire d’exposition : il choisit de rendre hommage à l’œuvre d’Emmanuel Pereire, artiste français méconnu du public, dont le Frac possède un vaste ensemble d’œuvres. Thomas Huber livre alors une vision parcellaire du travail de l’artiste, fait de choix, de coupes : « J’ai sélectionné 36 œuvres. Mon choix est très personnel. Je n’ai en particulier sélectionné que des pièces qui satisfont mes critères artistiques (…) J’ai choisi les tableaux qui, après tant d’années, sont pour moi dignes d’être de nouveau regardés et étudiés ».
In 2017, the Frac invited the artist Thomas Huber as a curator : he chose to pay tribute to the work of Emmanuel Pereire, a French artist quite unknown, whose the Frac possesses a vast collection of works. Thomas Huber then delivered a fragmentary vision of the artist’s work, made of choices and cuts: « I selected 36 works. My choice is very personal. In particular, I selected only works that satisfy my artistic criteria: I chose the paintings which, after so many years, are for me worthy to be watched and studied again. «
